For optimal use, hang the nest box at a height of at least 2 meters, in a quiet spot out of direct sunlight. Preferably orient the entrance towards the northeast, as rain often comes from the southwest. Ensure there are no branches in front of the entrance so birds can fly in and out freely. Place nest boxes of the same species at least 10 meters apart and nest boxes for different species at least 3 meters apart. After the breeding season, in September, you can remove old nesting material and clean the box with hot water and a small brush. This keeps the nest box hygienic and ready for the next season.
