What food is suitable for my rabbit?
Rabbits need unlimited hay as their staple food (80% of diet), supplemented with quality rabbit pellets and daily fresh vegetables. Avoid mixes with nuts and sugary pieces.
What food should I give my hamster or gerbil?
Hamsters and gerbils eat a varied seed mix with sunflower seeds, oats and dried vegetables. Choose a mix suited to the species and supplement with small amounts of fresh fruit and vegetables.
Does my guinea pig need vitamin C?
Yes, guinea pigs cannot produce their own vitamin C. They need at least 25 mg daily via fresh vegetables or enriched guinea pig pellets. A deficiency leads to scurvy.
How big should a rabbit cage be?
A rabbit cage should be at least 150×60 cm for a dwarf rabbit. Rabbits need several hours of free roaming daily. Check our accessories for suitable cages and enclosures.
What bedding is best for small pets?
Hemp litter, linen bedding or dust-free wood shavings are safe for most small pets. Avoid cedar and pine, which irritate the respiratory system. For hamsters: at least 20 cm deep bedding to allow burrowing.
